The Damned Heir
PRE-ORDER NOW!
Matic Rožič has spent a century learning how to make himself safe.
Half vampyr, half demon, and heir to a powerful mountain estate, Matic was raised to believe that discipline could contain whatever lived beneath his skin. An enchanted bracelet suppresses his shadows. Obedience protects his family’s name. Restraint keeps everyone around him alive.
Then one public act of vengeance places his inheritance under council scrutiny—and exposes how fragile that restraint has always been.
As rival houses circle the Rožič estate, Matic is drawn deeper into a forbidden affair with Mirella Corvino, the daughter of the family tightening the leash around his throat. Their stolen letters and secret meetings have already crossed every boundary their families would permit. Discovery could destroy them both.
But something older than their feud is awakening beneath the Rožič mountain.
Impossible flowers are growing beside ancient Orc wards. A dragon’s covenant has survived long after its true purpose was forgotten. Searching for answers takes Matic into hostile territory, where his blood, title, and family power cannot protect him. There, stripped of every advantage, he discovers that his ancestors did not inherit the mountain’s legacy.
They helped bury it.
Matic returns carrying a power no one ever taught him to understand and the knowledge that everyone who loved him chose to contain his darkness rather than confront it.
Everyone except Thanedric.
The mysterious half-blood offers Matic the one thing more dangerous than Mirella’s forbidden love: the chance to remove the leash and discover what he was always meant to become.
