• Why I Renamed Blood Slave

If you’ve been following my writing journey, you might’ve noticed something different.

Blood Slave is now titled The Vampyr’s Slave and yes, the cover has changed too.

    Let me explain.

When I first released Blood Slave, I knew I was writing a story that wouldn’t be for everyone. It’s brutal, invasive and Cyrus, the central figure, was never meant to be liked. He’s not a morally gray hero clawing toward redemption and I don’t always believe that everyone needs a redemption arc

Cyrus is power. Obsession. Control. His world doesn’t bend to comfort, and his choices aren’t softened for anyone’s approval.

This was always a story that lived in the darkest corners.

But as the book found its readers, those of you who crave the raw, the twisted, the unapologetically black—I realized the original title didn’t fully reflect the emotional weight or tone. It sounded… a little tame and that’s never what this book was. It needed a name that felt more personal. More possessive. More him.

    Hence, The Vampyr’s Slave.

It’s a subtle shift but an intentional one. One that says: This isn’t just about a blood exchange. This is about ownership. Power. Survival.

As for the cover—you’ll notice it’s bold, haunting, and unmistakably different. I created it using AI through Midjourney, and while I know AI is a loaded topic in the creative world, I want to be transparent. I used Midjourney to shape a visual that captured the essence of the story: seductive but sharp, dark but intoxicating.

It was a tool—nothing more but one that helped bring this world into focus.

And no, the change wasn’t without consequence. Somewhere in the chaos of renaming and redesigning on Inkitt, all of the chapters were temporarily unpublished. So if you were reading and suddenly lost access, or wondering if this is a new book, I’m sorry for the confusion. The book is back now, just with a new name and new face.

So if you see The Vampyr’s Slave and wonder if you’ve read it before, you probably have.

Same story. Same depravity. New name. New look.

This book is also part of a broader rebrand. I’m officially launching a new series called Ashes and Vows—a deeply erotic, dark paranormal collection focused entirely on Vampyrs, claiming, and possessive power dynamics. These aren’t tender love stories. These are twisted, blood-soaked, and burning with obsession. Every story in this series will center around what it means to be owned—body, blood, and soul.

Of course, the change wasn’t without consequence. Somewhere in the chaos of renaming and redesigning, all of the chapters were temporarily unpublished. So if you were reading and suddenly lost access, or if you’re wondering if this is a new book, I’m sorry for the confusion. The book is back now, just with a new name, a new cover, and a sharpened identity.

So if you see The Vampyr’s Slave and wonder if you’ve read it before, you probably have.

Same story. Same depravity. New name. New look. New series.

And if this story stayed with you in the dark, if you made it to the end and still felt something please leave a review on Inkitt or my website. It doesn’t have to be long, just one sentence. It means more than you know and helps me keep telling stories like this.

Thank you for walking through the shadows with me.
    More is coming.
